Trading Post site is the largest classified advertisement
site in Australia. (100,000 classified ads and close to three million
hits a week). The site is created using Active Server Pages (ASP) and
Active Data Objects (ADO) components of Site Server 3.0. Internet Information
Server (IIS) 4.0 is used as a web server and Microsoft Transaction Server
(MTS) is used with Microsoft SQL Server 6.5, 7.0 to communicate with the
Deployment projects of Site Server is used to deploy
the site to multiple sites. E- commerce technology is used to grant early
access and online ad placement using Teltra's SureLink and ANZ eGate technology.
Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) is used to store Membership
and Personalisation information on general users and Early Access subscribers.
Developing ISAPI (Internet Server Application Programming Interface) DLLs
and COM ASP components using Visual C++ 6.0 and Visual basic 5.0. These
components are developed on Microsoft n tier architecture (DNA) to isolate
business logic, presentation. and transport layers of the web application.
COM components are developed to address scalability and performance issues
using MS Transaction Server 2.0. Using XML to build standard client front
ends for rapid application development.
Using WML scripts to run WAP technology for web
site admin and client services. Load testing the web sites using MS Homer
and Windows Stress Tool. Maintaining and optimizing SQL Cluster servers
and configuring and maintaining a web farm in a load balancing environment.
Maintaining and creating client sites. ·
